NHETV Cable 19, is the longest-running of the three North Haven channels. Having signed on the air in 1975, and originally operated under the direction of Junior High School Media Teacher Neal Peckham, NHETV is the Educational Access channel for North Haven, Connecticut. NHETV Cable 19 is the source for educational programming for North Haven, including programming originating from the North Haven Public School system. Highlights of NHETV Cable 19 programming include the weekly "News on 19" student news program, as well as many other fine programs. NHETV Cable 19 broadcasts from the North Haven High School Media Center at 221 Elm Street, and is available to all North Haven subscribers of Comcast. In October, 2008, NHETV Cable19 was added to the AT&T U-Verse lineup and is now available to all AT&T U-Verse subscribers throughout Connecticut. NHETV Cable 19 is operated under the direction of Ms. Elsa Ruoff, in conjunction with NHTV, North Haven Community Television, Inc., the officially recognized P.E.G. access provider for North Haven.
